The bot is supposed to greet\u00a0your visitor once he starts typing (even before he\u00a0sends away the message).<\/p>\n<p>This is how this greeting message looks like (with the default Support Bot settings):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1368\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mysmartbots.com\/blog\/wp-content\/smartbots\/2015\/11\/support_bot_invitation.png\" alt=\"support_bot_invitation\" width=\"340\" height=\"44\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mysmartbots.com\/blog\/wp-content\/smartbots\/2015\/11\/support_bot_invitation.png 508w, https:\/\/www.mysmartbots.com\/blog\/wp-content\/smartbots\/2015\/11\/support_bot_invitation-300x39.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 340px) 100vw, 340px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The secret is that bot reacts on visitor&#8217;s &#8220;XXX started typing&#8221; notification.\u00a0However, it turned out that (some) SL\u00a0regions (sometimes)\u00a0forget to send this notification. The reasons are quite obscure, but they prevent support bot from greeting your visitor.<\/p>\n<p>We did a tiny workaround: bot also tracks the &#8220;stopped typing&#8221; notification which still arrive. Bot\u00a0uses it to ensure that greeting has been sent to the visitor.
