This\u00a0post is to\u00a0announce the changes\u00a0(<em>with some technical details revealed\u00a0in italic<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0is a mostly backend update (as a user, you won&#8217;t\u00a0see any\u00a0changes yet), but it is an important base for further\u00a0feature updates.<\/p>\n<p><i>SmartBots is being developed since 2009, and some pieces of code have been written in 2007-2009. This legacy code has been rewritten to modernize and unify the code base. Unification\u00a0makes\u00a0support and further development easier, faster and efficient.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s\u00a0update affects the very base of the system, so we appreciate if you\u00a0report any issues you may see to our support crew (use the website Live Chat to contact us). <em>The changes has been tested by our developers\u00a0both on development and production servers. However,\u00a0there&#8217;s always a possibility to miss something very special.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As mentioned above, this update makes\u00a0developing new features easier. The next\u00a0feature update is\u00a0to allow <a href=\"\/docs\/Trusted_Managers\" target=\"_blank\">Trusted Managers<\/a> to access bot addon modules: your managers will be able to manage <a href=\"\/store\/item\/1\/alive_support_bot\/\" target=\"_blank\">Support Bot<\/a> and <a href=\"\/store\/item\/34\/sim_governor\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sim Governor<\/a>, set up <a href=\"\/store\/item\/38\/waypoints_navigator\/\" target=\"_blank\">bot Waypoints<\/a> etc. Also, the whole Trusted Manager management\u00a0section will be rewritten.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Trusted Managers&#8221; section\u00a0is one of the pages\u00a0created\u00a0back in 2009.\u00a0Based on\u00a0old and and\u00a0overwhelmingly complex template engine, it is a pain to get it updated.
