Group Inviter service allows to invite SL residents to your group by sending direct group invitations.
What is direct group invitation? Why it's better?
What is the difference between direct and indirect SL group invitations?
| Direct Invitation[1] | Indirect Invitation[2] |
|---|---|
| Pop-up appears inviting to the group | Message appears asking to "Press CTRL-H and click the link" |
| Resident joins after clicking on "Join" button | Resident has to click on link in chat, open group profile, click the "Join" button |
| Works for closed-enrollment groups | Does not work for closed enrollment at all |
| About 80% of residents join | About 20-30% of residents join |
- ↑ The same invitation as appears when resident invites another resident
- ↑ "Simulated" from LSL script
What's good about indirect invitation? Well, it's free and can be used from LSL script. But:
- SmartBots invitation cost only L$79 per week
- We have an AdminBot LSL API which allows even listening to a group chat!
How does it work
The following images show the main idea of SmartBots: you place Interface device on your parcel and it starts working. You don't have to have SL bot on your land:

Interface Device
The SmartBots Interface device is the 1 prim object you put on your parcel.
This object tracks your parcel's visitors and commands SmartBot to send the direct group invitation. Interface object reacts on touch and sends an invitation.
You can put as much Interface devices as you need, even if you own several parcels or sims. You still pay the same subscription price!
Spamless
SmartBots are absolutely spamless:
- The invitations are being sent only once to every visitor of your location.[1]
- Existing group members won't receive invitations.
- Respects parcel borders.
- ↑ However, you can setup your group to send invitation twice, or every time visitor comes back.
