Welcome to new SmartBots!

Dear friends!

Today is a big day for SmartBots and for me personally. Our team is releasing an update we’ve been working on for the last few months.

This is a complete overhaul of SmartBots’ look and feel. I hope you like it!

Why the overhaul?

SmartBots was launched back in 2010. It was cool and stylish in those days. And it was quite simple.

As the years passed, we added numerous features and expansions: add-ons, Playground, scripts for sale, schedules… Each new feature brought its own piece of UI.

At long last, we ended up with a complex web platform! Different web engines (actually, five), lots of legacy code. And a legacy web design all over it (well, actually, we had a full redesign in 2014… but that sounds like in the Bronze Age, we redesigned our Stone Age website).

I do love SmartBots. And I believe a lot of you love SmartBots too. In 2026, I decided that all of us deserve a faster, nicer, and more modern look and feel for the service. After all, SmartBots is very cool and modern on the inside! We love bleeding-edge technologies, clusters, reactivity, CI/CD, and other cool things! So it was time to make SmartBots look modern, too.

Totally new!

We rewrote all our code: from modern languages all the way back to programming dialects from 2000th that almost nobody speaks today. We created cool new layouts and made every part of SmartBots use them. SmartBots is mobile-friendly, handy, and fast now.

I hope the new look doesn’t make you feel This isn’t my SmartBots anymore! One of our beloved users asked for it, and we added a classic theme for those who love the classic things.

Did we break something?

We tested everything. But SmartBots is big (much bigger than our team!) and we might have missed something. Please – if something isn’t handy, or you miss the way you used to do things – feel free to IM me or SmartBots support! We are eager to do more!

What’s next?

There are more amazing things we have yet to release: a complete overhaul of RLV (with lots of features for developers and users), Playground improvements, and new features!
