Bot HUD v4.0 has been released!

New Second Life bot control HUD A new version of Personal Bot HUD is now available. This is a mostly technical update: we’ve rewritten the codebase of the device completely.

The HUD scripts require less memory and contact main server in a more secure way than before.

The new HUD also introduces a user interface improvement. Now, when you make your bot sit down on object you highlight, bot verifies if it actually sees your selection beam (sometimes viewer settings prevent your beam to appear in-world).

You can get a new version of the HUD by:

clicking “Get bot control tools” in SmartBots account (“Personal Bots” section)
or visiting SmartBots in-world office vendor.

Upcoming web interface update, 10:00am SLT

Scheduled maintenance notification The web interface of SmartBots will be shut down today, Jun 29th at 10:00 AM SLT. The estimated downtime is about 5 minutes.

All bots will stay online. Update affects the web front-end servers only.

Trusted Managers – now able to control modules!

Trusted managers are able to control bot modules We are excited to announce the recent changes we’ve done for Trusted Managers section. Your Trusted Managers are now also able to control the bot modules you purchase at Bot Store.

Currently, there are four modules your managers are able to control:

Alive Support Bot – manager can review messages, assign them to your support staff
Live IM Chat – manager can see incoming IMs, reply and initiate new conversations
Simple IM Autoresponder – manager is able to configure the autoresponder
Local Chat – the same as Live IM, but speaking to a local chat.

As soon as you assign specific modules to your manager, he get the complete control over that module (however, without an ability to attach/detach modules – this is still your personal ability).
